The Pollock Center Summer Stage Announces New Updates!
Get ready for an unforgettable summer at the Pollock Center! We are thrilled to announce that the theme for The Pollock Center Summer Stage 2026 is Breaking the Mold—a season dedicated to bold storytelling, creative risk-taking, and celebrating the many ways artists shine both onstage and behind the scenes.
This summer, our programs invite students and performers of all ages to challenge expectations, embrace individuality, and reimagine what theatre can be. Whether stepping into the spotlight for the first time or diving deep into a pre-professional process, Summer Stage 2026 is all about innovation, collaboration, and discovering your unique creative voice.
Programs offered this summer:
Summer Stage KIDS! (Grades 3-5) is a joyful and imaginative introduction to theatre for our youngest performers. Through storytelling, music, movement, and creative play, students build confidence, teamwork, and a love for performing in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Under our Breaking the Mold theme, KIDS! performers are encouraged to explore, experiment, and learn that there is no “right” way to be creative—only their own way.
Summer Stage Junior (Grades 6-12) is a high-energy program for young performers ready to grow their skills and take creative risks. Students rehearse and perform a junior-length musical while developing foundational techniques in acting, singing, movement, and ensemble work. This program emphasizes inclusivity, collaboration, and experimentation, empowering students to step outside expectations and embrace their individuality. Junior performers learn that theatre thrives when bold ideas and teamwork come together.
Summer Stage MainStage (**NEW!**)(Ages 16-30) offers an immersive, high-level theatrical experience for performers seeking artistic challenge and growth. This program mirrors professional rehearsal practices while encouraging participants to take risks, deepen their craft, and engage in meaningful ensemble storytelling. Anchored by our Breaking the Mold theme, MainStage invites artists to question tradition, reimagine storytelling, and define their own creative path in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
The Summer Stage Technical Crew (Grades 7-12) program provides hands-on training in the behind-the-scenes elements that bring theatre to life. Students explore lighting, sound, stage management, set construction, costumes, and backstage operations while working as part of a production team. Emphasizing problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork, Technical Crew members learn that powerful storytelling happens just as much behind the curtain as it does onstage—especially in a summer dedicated to Breaking the Mold.
